What is it about this day that sets it apart from all the others??? I have a completely different feeling waking up on Sunday morning, that every other day of the week. . . here's why I think Sunday's are my favorite day.
* Ryan is here - he gladly manages the kids for breakfast so I can take an actual shower, and not try to break some world record for the fastest shower in history!!!
* Church - a sanctuary, a place to fill my spiritual tank for the upcoming week, fellowship with others in my faith family
* NO HOUSEWORK! This is the one day I can do absolutely no housework and not suffer from the guilt of how much I didn't get done. Although, I often do a few little things to cheat the system - it's amazing that a couple of loads of laundry on a Sunday is so much fun. If I can get the bedding or towels done on a Sunday, I feel like I stole some time away from the rest of the week.
* Family Time - the one day of the week that Ryan doesn't work. Our time together as a complete family is something to be cherished.
There are always exceptions -- like this Sunday! Ryan is at a seminar in Minneapolis, making this Sunday feel like every other day of the week!

Space Food

Extending the experience. . . we visited Space Center Houston on our trip and brought back a little Astronaut food. The girls "enjoyed" trying freeze dried chocolate-chocolate-chip ice cream, but I doubt it is something they would ask for again!
Keep checking back for more highlights from our trip - including Sea World, San Antonio Riverwalk, and Galveston Beach!

Still here. . .
Yes, I am still here. Sorry that I've been a bad blogger, but I promise to make up for it when we get back from our vacation. Texas, here we come!!!

Bowling Fun!
These photos just show a little of the fun we had bowling on Tuesday night this week! Little Miss Attitude (aka Delaney) was all about throwing it the right way - she got 9 pins with her first ball. A few frames later, she let the ball go in her backswing and it came rolling back to us at the score table! Little Miss Striker (aka Jillian) had the spirit and the skills. She may have rolled it "granny style" but she got the job done - complete with a strike in the 6th frame. Even Elliott had a great time - pizza, loud music, and watching all those brightly colored bowling balls. Ryan and I had fun, too, but sorry, no pictures of the big kids! Final scores??? Let's just say it ended as expected - with daddy in the lead. Okay, I'll confess - Jillian beat me by 17 pins!
